"After countless releases on labels such as Housecraft, Digitalis, Dekorder, Sloow, etc. and his own label, Om Ha Sva Ha Ksha Ma La Va Ra Yam, Uton finds a new home with DNT. "Echoes in the Wonderland" is the first full-length LP by Finland's Jani Hirvonen since 2009's "Unexplained Objects" (Dekorder) and is no less weird than his previous excursions from the outer regions of the cosmos to the minds' innerspace. As the album title could say, this is a way to the "wonderland" (also called as "other side" - many names been used during the history of humankind), which shouldn't be mixed for the adventure's of famous Alice - even it might give some idea about what is going to happen, but that's just a start of it all - the start of nothing else but listeners mind. What are the "echoes" then? They are something which are coming from beyond to here where we stay - this album being a link between these worlds; inside & outside; like they are working together. Psychedelic transmissions of consciousness. Bizarro alien communication that's difficult to pinpoint, Uton's "sheer ravishing beauty, elegancy and variegation is stashed behind a wall of grey, inscrutable haze – gorgeous melodies and voices, reeds and alien sounds gleaming through the mist from time to time, shimmering like diamonds through layers of dust." (Dekorder's words) Co-released with Finnish label Ikuisuus in a unrighteously limited pressing of 275 with full-color pro-printed jackets designed by Uton himself. The DNT edition is limited to 110 hand-numbered copies."

Analogue four-track recordings from July-August 2010 in Rennes, France. Later digitally mixed and edited. "Recorded at same era with Echoes In The Wonderland LP, but contains slightly different type of songs; concentrating to the connection of colourful coral waters and life in there & the sky, as it is; blue, clody... and at night, full of starts, and endless when we go far. Meditative or droney, experiments with deep feeling without getting too dark or pompous."

Music made by the members from Uton, Keijo, Vapaa, Kulkija and Stellar OM Source. Here's a short notes from Keijo about this album: "It is a bit "confused" album… As i remember — maybe not correctly — that there were not many "themes" or recurring "threads" in those tracks, but what i do remember very vividly, it was very intense doing those tracks — and sadly my poor minidisk was located in such a way that it did not take the whole richness of the room's soundworld. Later we had a houseparty there and boys put the minidisk on the ceiling from where it fell down just before the best 45 min free jazz/drone/rhythm 'n blues jam.. Those sessions were well crowded. It was our European tour of 2006. We played in Stockholm, Copenhagen, then several places in Holland an Belgium and then on the way in Sweden again — but the album is collected only from tracks recorded one day in Den Haag where we stayed in a big house, a former police-department, then a school, then abandoned, and then finally a squat."

Recorded in Kuusankoski, Finland, 2008. In these same sessions, they also recorded album "Alun Ääniä", which was released by Uton's own label Om Ha Sva Ha Ksha Ma La Va Ra Yam (cat/num OM-27). "Luonnon Helmassa" ("out in the open" in english) is one long ambient-based track, recorded with minidisc and few microphones. Many instruments were used, such as electric guitar, synth, harmonica, bass, percussions, vocals etc... With a lot of echo.

● Uton's new vinyl album Echoes in the Wonderland is finally arriving soon. It will still take about one month to be released, but not much longer. There will be a limited edition CDR/CS for bonus, and both, album itself & bonus material will be available also in Uton's Bandcamp page.
● Uton-Courtis collaboration album is coming out later this spring or early summer from Japanese label Musik Atlach, including Sachiko Fukuoka's artwork. It will be released only on CD.
● After 3 years without gigs, Uton was playing in Paris 6th March, in Institut Finlandais, together with a great finnish "free-folk-blues" group Rambling Boys (including Keijo). A nice experience indeed!
